On November 17th, 2017 in Banteay Meas district, Kampot province held a seminar on “Microfinance Sector in Cambodia” organized by the Cambodian Microfinance Association (CMA) in collaboration with ADA. The workshop was also attended by Mr. OEUR Sothearoath, Chief Executive Officer of Credit Bureau Cambodia and the participation of more than 90 local authorities.
The purpose of this workshop was to share knowledge to local authorities regarding to the role of MFIs in Cambodia in the country economic development and to identify current problems so as to find solutions to prevent duplicate loans. Additionally, by equipping local authority with sufficient knowledge, the workshop aims to raise awareness to local people in sustainable utilizing of financial sector in Cambodia.
