Job Description

• Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve the bureau’s long-term goals.
• Lead the strategic planning process, including market analysis, competitive assessment, and long-term forecasting.
• Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to expand the bureau’s services and market presence.
• Collaborate with other department heads to align strategic initiatives with operational capabilities.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to inform strategic decision-making.
• Oversee the development of business models and financial projections to support strategic initiatives.
• Evaluate and recommend strategic partnerships and alliance opportunities.
• Provide guidance on risk management strategies and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Present strategic plans and recommendations to the management and leadership team
• Lead cross-functional teams to execute strategic initiatives and achieve key performance indicators.
• Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the strategic planning function.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing strategic planning team.

Job Requirements

• A Bachelor or Master’s degree in business administration, finance, economics, or a related field is often required.
• Significant experience in strategic planning, business development, and financial analysis roles within the financial services industry
• Proven track record of leading strategic planning teams, driving organizational change, and effectively managing cross-functional initiatives.
• In-depth knowledge of the credit bureau industry, including understanding regulatory frameworks, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
• Good financial modelling and analysis skills, including experience in developing business cases, evaluating investments, and conducting cost-benefit analyses.
• Ability to think strategically, analyze market opportunities, and develop long-term plans to drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage for the credit bureau.
• Excellent communication skills with experience in presenting strategic plans and business cases to management and leadership teams
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with other department heads, senior executives, and external partners to align strategic initiatives with operational capabilities.
• Experience in driving innovation, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and leading organizational change initiatives.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market data, financial statements, and industry reports to inform strategic decisions.
• Experience in recruiting, developing, and managing high-performing strategic planning teams, with a focus on mentorship and talent development.
